Emelia has been selling smoked / dried fish for the past 7 years. The fish business is a very vibrant business because every household eats fish . With such good business, Emilia would need enough capital to expand her business to catch as much market as she can.
She buys her fish from Tema and brings the fish to Ofankor where she washes and salts them before placing them on a traditional oven to be smoked overnight. She then sells them the next morning to other traders who buy and resell to other households.
Emelia would like to take advantage of the new electricity in her village by someday getting a refrigerator and container to store more fish.
