Mary is a married Maasai woman who was inspired to do business and be self-reliant. She has 5 children whom she has brought up single handedly after the biological father left to live in a nearby town.
Before she joined the Village Net she was employed in an agro-vet and she used her salary to feed her children and send them to school. Her job was short-lived because of the rampant drought.
After meeting TVN, she secured her first loan of Ksh. 3500. She bought two rams and paid her loan on time, enabling her to receive her second round of Ksh. 5000. She sold her two rams and opened her own agro-vet (see photo). She anticipates to one day own one of the biggest in her town.
